CHICAGO, MY KIND of TOWN!!
How thrilling it was for my artwork to be featured in two gallery events within a week of each other!
January 27th marked a very special Meet the Artist evening at Chicago’s Homey Gallery. Guests had the opportunity to view my paintings, books and journals and learn more about my life in the studio and the creative process. I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction and questions about my art, and it was a joy to share this special time with friends and clients. A big “thank you” to owner/gallery director Michael LaConte for curating my artwork so beautifully and for being such a gracious host. http://www.ilovehomey.com/exhibits_upcoming.html
An exciting new project was announced– a series of my portrait paintings that will appear in the upcoming book, Political Paramours: Thirty Women Whose Dalliances Changed History. For several months, I have been collaborating with author, Lisa Wagner and KWS Publishing partners, James Hart and George Walsh. More details to follow about the book that is targeted to be released toward the end of the year. http://www.kwspub.com/PP_Women_History.html
And of course, the evening would not have been such a success without my biggest fan, Dylan Harris (age 7) grandson and artist.
For those of you who could not make it, I will have an exhibit at Homey Gallery in May of this year. Details to follow……
NEW YORK, NEW YORK!!
February 2nd marked another fabulous reception that took place at Amsterdam Whitney International Gallery in Chelsea, New York City. My artwork was included as part of the Curator’s Choice that featured selected artwork added to the group exhibition of Coeur a Coeur, Rhapsody of the Abstract and Heart & Soul. http://amsterdamwhitneygallery.com/CurrentExhibition.html

I LOVE NEW YORK! My paintings will be featured in the May 10th exhibition. Look for upcoming details….
That’s all for now…..Andrea
