Amsterdam Whitney Gallery’s Gala Champagne Reception
Jan 25th, 2011 by andreaharris
Time spent in my studio is very often introspective and magical, as each brushstroke brings me closer to matching my inner visions. The process is a form of rapport between my mind and the image being created on canvas. However, there is also an exciting, social side to being a painter.
On January 13, I was thrilled to attend my reception/group exhibition at Amsterdam Whitney Gallery’s “Beaux Arts & New Year’s Ball,” in Chelsea, New York.
I was delighted to meet guests shown in the photographs below and excited to be interviewed by Kristal Hart of the “Kristal Hart Show” on New York’s cable television.

Influential people in the art, business and society worlds attended the exhibition, including dignitaries and diplomats. The champagne gala vibrated with a merry spirit as we toasted in celebration of the New Year and the fabulous art.

Many thanks to Ruthie Tucker, Amsterdam Whitney Gallery’s expert curator, executive director, and co-owner, for organizing this fantastically glorious and glitzy event! I’m so pleased to have been a part of it.
